Bit of a change to the format for this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle this week as we immediately review the Friday night NBL matches and preview the rest of Round 16 in #NBL20.
NBL Writer Chris Pike and Perth Wildcats legend Shawn Redhage team up for Episode 14 of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle and it all gets underway with a full wrap up of the Friday night Round 16 NBL action which saw the New Zealand Breakers beat the Sydney Kings to keep their season alive, and the Perth Wildcats thump the South East Melbourne Phoenix.
The hosts give a full breakdown of both those matches and what the results mean, and especially discuss the performance of Mitch Norton for the Wildcats in the absence of Damian Martin and Bryce Cotton in his 100th NBL appearance.
The Scoring Machine also provides some insight into new Phoenix signing Devondrick Walker and why this might be the start of a longer-term role for him at South East Melbourne.

The first show of 2020 sees NBL Writer Chris Pike and The Scoring Machine Shawn Redhage open up by discussing the signing for the Wildcats of Miles Plumlee to replace Dario Hunt. Shawn provides some insight into why he thinks it is the right move and then preview's Friday's game against the Illawarra Hawks which he thinks can determine first place on the NBL ladder
There's then a recap of the Cairns Taipans win on Thursday night against the New Zealand Breakers to send them into third position and which according to Shawn, locks them in for a playoff position.

Latest pre-Christmas edition of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle and there's so much happening for us to discuss in the NBL right now that there's not even room for a guest!
NBL Writer Chris Pike and Perth Wildcats four-time championship winning legend Shawn Redhage are back to dissect everything that happened in a dramatic Round 11 in the NBL and now looking ahead to Round 12 that will lead into Christmas.
First up is a reflection on last week's mid-season predictions and award winners, and talk about why fresh off playing his 300th game for the Wildcats, why others around the country don't still rate Damian Martin as the league's best defensive player.
Talk then turns to the remarkable individual performances from Jerome Randle and John Roberson to win games for the Adelaide 36ers and South East Melbourne Phoenix respectively, along with how Jarrod Kenny would be feeling after two costly turnovers for the Cairns Taipans.
Focus is then on the Perth Wildcats and Sydney Kings who are breaking away from the pack on top of the NBL while Shawn gives his thoughts on Melbourne United and what they should do with Casey Prather following another injury.

NBL writer Chris Pike and Perth Wildcats NBL legend Shawn Redhage bring you the first episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle. The first episode of what will be a weekly podcast provides some insight into what the show will be about and also an update into what Shawn has been up to post his NBL retirement. The episode also features the hosts talking about the upcoming NBL season while making their full predictions on top of a look at the Round 1 action.
The episode features a special interview with recently departed NZ Breakers General Manager Dillon Boucher who has a long history with Shawn as a teammate in New Zealand and Perth, and a long-time rival. There will also be a Two(Seven)-Minute Drill segment with Wildcats captain and five-time NBL championship winner Damian Martin.
