Chris Pike then catches up with South East Melbourne Phoenix star Ben Madgen who is back in the NBL after previously having played 139 games with the Sydney Kings before embarking on four years in Europe and now returning a married father of two.

Shawn Redhage also catches up with a former Perth Wildcats championships teammate of his, Drake U'u, and the pair have a fascinating chat reflecting on their time together but also what Drake is up to now working with both the Sacramento Kings and Stockton Kings, and how well thought of the NBL is now compared to even four years ago.

NBL writer Chris Pike and Perth Wildcats NBL legend Shawn Redhage bring you the first episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle. The first episode of what will be a weekly podcast provides some insight into what the show will be about and also an update into what Shawn has been up to post his NBL retirement. The episode also features the hosts talking about the upcoming NBL season while making their full predictions on top of a look at the Round 1 action.

The episode features a special interview with recently departed NZ Breakers General Manager Dillon Boucher who has a long history with Shawn as a teammate in New Zealand and Perth, and a long-time rival. There will also be a Two(Seven)-Minute Drill segment with Wildcats captain and five-time NBL championship winner Damian Martin.
