This week's show sees us join Round 10 of #NBL22 after the Illawarra Hawks' shock loss to the New Zealand Breakers on Wednesday night.

Matty gives his thoughts and tips then on Friday's game between the Tasmania JackJumpers and the Sydney Kings, the Saturday double-header starting with Brisbane Bullets v Cairns Taipans, and then South East Melbourne Phoenix v Perth Wildcats.

There's two more games on Sunday with Melbourne United v JackJumpers and Kings v Breakers before the Hawks host the Phoenix on Monday.

Hoops Heaven‘s Basketball Hustle - Season 3, Episode 11

All new look for Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with Cody Ellis stepping into the co-host chair and we discuss his life and basketball journey on top of talking all the big #NBL22 topics while wrapping up Round 9 and previewing Round 10.

This is the first episode where Chris Pike is joined by Cody Ellis as co-host with the grandson and son of WA basketball royalty, and former Saint Louis Billikens, Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks star, and currently Warwick Senators NBL1 West captain to help dissect the world of the NBL.

First up we discuss whether or not Cody is still hopeful his NBL career might not be over for good at 127 games, if he is ready should a club come calling, if he's disappointed that he's not still in the league and how that all sits with him.

It's a very special episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle for a whole host of reasons as Chris Pike and Damian Martin wrap up all the #NBL22 action, we have a big announcement to make and along with Shawn Redhage, we announce 40th Anniversary Perth Wildcats team.

First up on this week's episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle, Chris Pike and Damian Martin talk about the implications of the Western Australia borders no longer opening in early February both in terms of the impact on basketball, but also our personal lives.

We then get stuck into some basketball talk and talk about the rollercoaster Round 8 in the NBL for the Sydney Kings, the continued dominance of Melbourne United, the Cairns Taipans who continue to get games postponed and the Illawarra Hawks being called out by their coach Brian Goorjian.

We are back with another episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with Chris Pike and Damian Martin looking at everything in #NBL22 and beyond along with being joined by Alex Loughton.

Just about regular transmission resumed in the NBL for Round 7 with six games for us to look back on in this week's show. But there were some big talking points to get stuck into first including the impact of COVID around the league, Matthew Dellavedova's stunning shooting performance on his way to 33 points and the struggles with the Sydney Kings.

Damian Martin not only gives some insights into the replacement import that he believes the Sydney Kings need, but why he likes the Brisbane Bullets big three of Nathan Sobey, Lamar Patterson and Robert Franks so much.

We then break down all the matches across Round 7 in #NBL22 with Damo giving particular insight into the Adelaide 36ers beating the Perth Wildcats, and the return of Sixers guard Sunday Dech for his first appearance of the NBL season.

We then also discuss why Melbourne United are looking to be the team to beat right now before announcing the winner of #TheGalen Award for this week as the NBL's Best Team Man.

It's then time for us to catch up with former 311-game NBL great Alex Loughton live from Cairns. There again might have been only two NBL games to look back on but no shortage of hot talking points for us to dissect on this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle along with catch up with the Master Coach, Rob Beveridge.

Hosts Chris Pike and Damian Martin open up the show by discussing welcoming in the New Year and then taking a look at the history-making exploits of Josh Giddey as a rookie in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

As we keep saying, it might be the NBL off-season but there remains plenty to talk about and this week's guest provides plenty of evidence of that as he catches up with NBL Writer Chris Pike and Perth Wildcats legend, The Scoring Machine Shawn Redhage.

There is so much covered in the discussion starting off with the constant rejection Coenraad received early in his career before finding a college home and then even from a rival NBL coach before settling at the then Wollongong Hawks.

Coenraad then talks about what an honour it was to him to play for Australia with the Boomers and the shock he had when some players turned down the chance, and why he gained an enormous amount of respect for Mitch Creek.

He also talks playing 3x3 basketball for Australia and gives an impassioned plea for Basketball Australia to rethink their decision to not fund the teams playing in the Asia Cup which can provide automatic World Cup qualification.

Well the news was breaking surrounding the NBL Grand Final Series while recording of this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle was taking the place setting the stage for quite the eventful episode.

The Writer Chris Pike and The Scoring Machine began the show discussing Games 2 and 3 of the Grand Final Series between the Sydney Kings and Perth Wildcats, with both teams winning on the opposition's home floor with the 'Cats taking a 2-1 series lead.

There was plenty to dissect include how playing in front of closed stadiums panned out and the hosts thoughts on that on top of how Andrew Bogut led Sydney to a Game 2 win while Nick Kay and Bryce Cotton did the same for Perth in Game 3.
