We are back for a second season of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle and just in time for Christmas we are bringing our listeners a very special return episode as we move towards the 2021 NBL season!
The Writer Chris Pike and The Scoring Machine Shawn Redhage are back for a second season of Basketball Hustle and once again it is all made possible through the fantastic support of Hoops Heaven (www.hoopsheaven.com.au).
Our return episode sees us catch up on what's been happening in between our last show of Season 1 and now before our attention turns to all the big news in the NBL heading into the 2021 season beginning on January 10.
We talk fixtures, the NBL Cup to be played in a Melbourne hub and then Shawn gives his thoughts on Melbourne United's impressive signings, feeling for the New Zealand Breakers, how the Perth Wildcats stack up and then some of the big names who aren't returning for #NBL21.
It's then time for our special guest and it's six-time NBL champion, six-time Best Defensive Player, real estate mogul, marriage celebrant and father of two Damian Martin who joins us. And it won't be the only time on Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle. We discuss the regular role he'll play on the show and then we chat retirement, his career, infamous secret santa's with the Wildcats and so much more.
We then wrap up the show with an update on our plans for 2021, an update on Redhage Basketball and Shawn's plans for the future, and then of course we say Merry Christmas to you all!
