Hoops Heaven‘s Basketball Hustle - Season 3, Episode 3

The first round of the 2021/22 NBL season is in the books and we are here to wrap it up on Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle along with a lot more including speaking to the one and only Rob Beveridge.

Co-hosts 'The Never Was' Chris Pike and 'The Has Been' Damian Martin are back to take a look back at the opening round of the #NBL22 season, with plenty to like from some clubs, concerns for others and we have it all covered.

We have three awards that we are running this season and Damian Martin starts things off by delivering his first lot of votes for #TheDamo Award for the Best Defensive Player.

We then run through the votes in #TheRedhage for the MVP on Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle and then we announce a brand new award, #TheGalen. It's named in honour of the late Galen Young and goes to the Best Team Man in the NBL this week.

It's then time for our special guest and for the first time this season we catch up with Master Coach Rob Beveridge. With a history with both co-hosts dating back well over a decade, it's a lot of fun catching up with the man still calling Wollongong home, who is about to head back to Perth to become head of basketball with the Rockingham Flames and who is still coaching the Southland Sharks in the NZ NBL.

It's a fascinating chat with a mix of serious basketball and life talk, and a bit of fun before Damian Martin is back to wrap up the show with his Round 2 preview and predictions.
