Hoops Heaven‘s Basketball Hustle - Season 3, Episode 24

It's Grand Final time in the NBL and who would have thought the Tasmania JackJumpers are there to face the Sydney Kings. We look ahead to that on this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle along with the fallout for Melbourne United and Illawarra Hawks, Brian Goorjian's departure and work out the winner of #TheGalen Best #NBL22 Team Man.

We open up this week's episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with Cody Ellis reflecting on his return to Sydney and Wollongong for Kevin White's wedding and to watch his two former teams in action in Game 1 of the semi-final series.

It's then time to reflect back on the two semi-final series which saw the Tasmania JackJumpers beat Melbourne United and Sydney Kings beat Illawarra Hawks. We talk about just what a remarkable feat it is from the JackJumpers to get to a Grand Final in their first NBL season but also discuss just how good the Kings are and how tough to stop they will be.

After looking at the semi-final winners. we break down the fallout for the losers starting with the Illawarra Hawks and the announcement that coach Brian Goorjian is stepping down to be replaced by Jacob Jackomas. Cody then talks about why it's Melbourne United who will always be the ones who look back on #NBL22 as the great underachievers after losing to the JackJumpers.

We keep moving on Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle and get to our three nominees to win the #TheGalen Award as The Best Team Man in #NBL22. The nominees are Antonius Cleveland, Shea Ili and Keanu Pinder, and we announce how the winner will be decided.

We then breakdown the NBL Award winners for #NBL22 and then get stuck into a Grand Final Preview between the Tasmania JackJumpers and Sydney Kings.
