Monster episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with so much to cover in #NBL22 with the Illawarra Hawks and Sydney Kings firing, Melbourne United steadying, Perth Wildcats hanging on, Tasmania JackJumpers and South East Melbourne Phoenix floundering plus we have all our awards, WNBL Grand Final, NBL1 West starting and Cody Ellis in the hot seat.
We open up this week's episode with Chris Pike and Cody Ellis diving into what's happening with the NBL starting with the Illawarra Hawks winning minus Tyler Harvey, the Sydney Kings rolling on with Xavier Cooks back, Melbourne United's important Shea Ili-led win out west and then Perth Wildcats woes at home minus Mitch Norton and the whole John Brown/Michael Frazier situation.
We then get Cody's thoughts on if there's any life left in the playoff run for the South East Melbourne Phoenix and Tasmania JackJumpers and look at Ryan Broekhoff's absence, Jason Cadee's shooting outburst for Brisbane Bullets and Cairns Taipans thriving with Keanu Pinder leading the way.
We then move into our awards part of our show for this week with Damian Martin providing the votes in #TheDamo Best Defensive Player thanks to Everlast Beverages and Shawn Redhage giving his votes for the Redhage Basketball Player of the Year Award before we decide our nominee for The Galen Best Team Man for Round 18.
We then take a look at the WNBL Grand Final Series, the NBL1 West season starting and then Cody Ellis is put on the spot with questions over the retiring class for this season, which coaches and players are under the pump, who's the MVP and plenty more as well as a full preview of Round 19 in #NBL22.
