Jam packed episode of Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle this week as Cody Ellis and Chris Pike breakdown everything happening in #NBL22 including the movement at Perth Wildcats and heat between Illawarra Hawks and Scott Roth while also joined by two special guests, Alex Loughton and Rob Beveridge.
Plenty to get through on this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with Cody Ellis and Chris Pike beginning with the likelihood of the Perth Wildcats about to sign John Brown III. We look at all of the sides to that before talking about Antonius Cleveland and Scott Roth's run in after the Illawarra Hawks beat the Tasmania JackJumpers, the struggles of South East Melbourne Phoenix and update the Redhage Basketball Player of the Year award and name The Galen Best Team Man for #NBL22 Round 17.
Our first guest this week is the Master Coach himself Rob Beveridge. We chat about his trip to Perth to begin his job as high performance manager with the Rockingham Flames. He discusses what that job entails and why he's so excited to be moving back to Perth. We also talk about his upcoming NZ NBL season coaching the Southland Sharks and look back on his successful tour of Japan coaching the Australian Boomers.
It's then time to catch up with Cairns Taipans legend Alex Loughton. He discusses the ups and downs with the Snakes this NBL season including that breakthrough win against the Bullets. He talks about why he's so impressed with Bul Kuol and Keanu Pinder and what the Taipans should still be trying to get out of this season and looking ahead to their two games in Round 17 against the South East Melbourne Phoenix and New Zealand Breakers.
Following our guest appearances, Cody and Chris are back to wrap up the show with a look at the WNBL playoffs and then Round 17 in the NBL beginning with a double-header on Thursday night.
