So much to cover surrounding #NBL23 on this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle from that screen from Jesse Wagstaff, salary cap revelations, trouble at Brisbane Bullets, NZ Breakers and Tasmania JackJumpers firing, and that's just the tip of the ice berg.
It's been a massive week in the world of the NBL and we try to cover it all on this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with NBL writer Chris Pike joined by former Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks forward Cody Ellis.
We begin by discussing some of the big talking points including the troubles at the Brisbane Bullets who remain winless after four games of the season, and look at the immediate future of coach James Duncan.
We then discuss the screen from Perth Wildcats captain Jesse Wagstaff which left Melbourne United guard Lachie Barker concussed. He was initially suspended before challenging and we discuss everything surrounding that.
Talk then turns to the impressive form of the New Zealand Breakers, Tasmania JackJumpers and Cairns Taipans, but then also the struggles of the Illawarra Hawks and the situation with struggling power forwards Alan Williams and Jordan Caroline at South East Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne United.
It's then awards time on this week's show with the winner of #TheGalen Best Team Man from Scott Ninnis announced along with #TheDamo Best Defensive Player votes from Damian Martin. We then chat with Matty Knight and get his Player of the Year votes for Round 3.
Talk then focuses on the release of the salary cap spends of the NBL teams last season and all the different talking points surrounding that before a preview of Round 4 and then wrapping up the show.
