Hoops Heaven Player of the Year – Matty Knight Bonus Episode

Three-time NBL champion Matty Knight has cast his votes for #NBL23 Player of the Year all season and his winner is announced on special Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle episode along with his award winners, finals predictions and thoughts on how a dramatic season ended.

On the back of the wild finish to the NBL23 regular season, the awards night this week from the NBL and the finals beginning on Thursday night, we catch up with three-time NBL champion from the Perth Wildcats, former 236-game power forward Matty Knight to get all his thoughts.

We begin by talking about that finish to the regular season where it all came down to the Perth Wildcats needing to beat the Sydney Kings by 11 points at RAC Arena to make the finals ahead of Melbourne United, and they ended up winning by 12.

Matty Knight gives his thoughts on that and also his thoughts on the play-in tournament and if he likes to new format from the NBL for this season or not.

We then move into discussing the Hoops Heaven Player of the Year Award. Matty Knight has cast his votes all season long and he gives his Round 18 votes before we discuss his final leaderboard and announce Tasmania JackJumpers guard Milton Doyle as the winner for the NBL23 season.
